Capcir is a very sunny mountain range that offers many possibilities to practise snowshoeing. Go at your own pace accompanied by a local guide and discover the wide range of landscapes in the heart of those natural areas, enjoying the sensations of freedom offered by the Capcir mountains!

Day 1: Welcome, foretaste and presentation of the programme. Contact with the material, discovery of the surroundings and of the area through an easy route. Half-day hike. Ascent: 200 m. Distance: 3 kmDistància 3 km.

Day 2: Mont Llarett. First approach in gondola lift and ascent to mount Llarett (2376m), out of the skiing area. 360° panoramic break. From then on, the rest of the route is all flat and wild descent. Meal around Boutassous lakes or in Balmette mountain hut (depending on the weather). Ascent: 350 m. Distance: 12.5 km.

Day 3: 2 options.
Day hike – Torn Pass. Departure from the village of Caudiès de Conflent up to Torn Pass, with its unique views of the Canigou mountains and the Mediterranean (if the weather allows it). Lunch in the mountain hut or in the open air (depending on the weather). Return through the wood to Caudiès lakes. Ascent: 300 m. Distance: 10 km. OR

Rest day – Visit and discovery of Cerdagne heritage. Departure to Puigcerdà (Spain), visit, stroll, … Transfer to the village of Dorres, ascent on foot to Belloc chapel. Discovery of the landscape, local history and fronteers … Descent and optionnal stop at the Roman baths of Dorres (€5 extra fee). Return at 5.00/6.00 p.m.

Day 4: Camporells. First approach in gondola lift and departure at 2100 m above sea level. Ascent to Serra de Mauri with its stunning view, and descent to the frozen lakes. Lunch in Camporells mountain hut and return to the station. Possible descent on snake-gliss (5,5 km sledging). Ascent: 550 m. Distance: 14 km.

Day 5: Les Bouillouses. Departure from Aveillans Plains and ascent to the numerous lakes of the site. Explanation on its history and use, Train Jaune (Yellow Train), … Lunch along the lakes or at the mountain hut (depending on the weather). Return downhill only. Ascent: 400 m. Distance: 11 km.
