The second benchmarking visit of the GPS Tourism project took place this spring.
On this occasion, the French initiative En Bretagne sans ma voiture – EBSMV (in Brittany without my car) was selected to experience one of the products offered. It is a tourist model that promotes sustainable mobility, with binary transport as the primary axis. It offers tourist packages starting in big cities whose destinations are spread out along the Breton peninsula. This initiative shows Brittany as an attractive destination for short stayy without the need to use private transport.
The first stage of the trip consisted of attending the In&Out Salon of digital mobility, which was celebrating its first edition in Rennes. After attending the convention and creating links with the regional representatives exhibiting, the train journey was made to Pointe de l’Arcouest, the destination of the visit.
Different activities were carried out that were linked to low or zero emission common transport. These experiences, in addition to the contact that was made with the EBSMV organisers and promotors, enabled the range of ideas that could be implemented in Pyrenean territories to be broadened.
